Cast Iron Sculptural Relief : Wolf Pack Howling
The sounds of nature are one of my favorite concepts to get inspired in any art project. I decided to base my project on the howling of a wolf pack because I think that the sound is very powerful to the human senses. The sound I got starts with the alpha’s howl then the rest of the pack meets him. My perception of this sound is that there is a certain movement that flows around for each of the wolves’ howl and at the end they create a musical composition. In my sculptural relief composition, I designed six shapes; two of them are larger than the rest because they represent the alpha’s howling. Overall, the shapes might be perceived as flower petals or water drops therefore I made them more elongated simulating a fluid movement of air or whispers to represent the graceful sound of the wolves’ pack howl.
Here is the website to listen to the sound:

Final Stage of my Lily Pads Wood Sculpture.
So this is the final stage of my lily pads wood sculpture. I decided to add some glue simulating the water and I added some coats of blue, yellow, lime green, and white on each of the lily pads; then I added a dark green wash to get a quiet and even color on these. I also added some lime green around the edges of these in order to get a better eye movement around the whole composition. Also, I added a fake flower to add a gentle touch of nature. Here are some pictures showing the improvements I made to it.
