Actual Lines #2- I chose to capture this image because I loved the way the lines of the shadow and the actual fence played off of each other. The composition is mainly organized through repetition.

Planes #2- I love this picture. The mirrors express the ideas of planes and the reflections in them give an interesting view of scale and proportions. I think the repetition of the wood and frames give a wonderful rhythm to the photograph.

Homework 1

Emphasis-
This is the best photo I could think of to show emphasis without using something like photoshop like most emphasis images would. This magnifying glass is able to perform an effect that most use technology to demonstrate.  The magnifying glass is able to blow up certain parts of the body and particularly draw attention to those areas.
Repetition-
These little wood chips show the repetition in shape and color.  The repeating circular lines throughout the pieces of wood allow for repetition and the repeated forms themselves show repetition as well.

Planes: this old window pane exhibits a plane coming out in a different direction than the plane in the background—the cabin wall behind it. I find the window’s tilt interesting and think the leaves covering the bottom make for an interesting composition.

Volume: this tub is holding both air and leaves at the very bottom. I found it interesting that the empty tub, that once would have been used to hold water, was now housing damp leaves in the middle of the woods.
