Rachel's Photos

Color and Light:
I decided to incorporate BOTH color and light. Using a fiberoptic lamp in a dark room, I had my friend spin the light in a violent circle to create this orb of blue light. It creates this fantastic sense of awe, leading the viewer to wonder what exactly is creating the image. This photo is made successful through the several colors of blue emitted from the light as well as the use of light itself to create a form.

Variety:
When I think of variety I think of a series of random objects. But instead this photo contains all the same subject matter. What I found interesting about this photo as an example of variety was the fact that the placement of each bird in the sky is different and the way in which they are flying doesn’t have much order but rather varies across.
